Andrea-Jane Cornell & Aaron Rosenblum

Institute 193 and WRFL 88.1 FM Radio Free Lexington are pleased to present an ongoing series of experimental music performances, curated and organized by Robert Beatty/Three Legged Race

We brought two Louisville based sound artists working with field recordings and processed instrumentation to create enveloping sound environments.
Andrea-Jane Cornell is an improviser and composer from Montréal, Quebec, Canada blending found sound, radio waves, objects, and instruments to build unstable flows of sound. Her most recent release is a collaboration with spoken word from Tim Darcy on the NNA Tapes label.
Aaron Rosenblum has been a part of the US underground for nearly 15 years- playing with the groups Son of Earth and Sapat and collaborating with members of Wooden Wand, Sunburned Hand of the Man and Blues Control. He plays violin, guitar, tapes, and found objects to create a unique and hypnotizing style of electro-acoustic Americana. He is the host of the field recording show Radio Presque Rien on Louisville's WXOX 97.1FM.
